The students of SBRR Mahajana First Grade College were treated to South Korean music and dance during a cultural exchange programme organised as part of 4th Indo-Korean Friendship Day celebrations held at Vivekananda Hall in the College premises yesterday.

A 19-member delegation of South Korean students led by Yong-Gyu Park visited the college and presented different cultural programmes which included performance by Korean Band, Korean folk songs, violin recital and explanation about Korean culture.

SBRR Mahajana College has been orgnising similar events every year to promote peace and harmony between the countries. Korean students Yong-Gyu Park, Ship-Ha Bark, Suk-Hyun Gang, Dae-Woong Kim, Se-Hee Park, Su-Jung Kim, Yu-Hee Choi, Hanna Jang, Suk-Kang Im, Su-Hyun Jang, Mi-Su Park, Ransyls, Thaimei, Gim Bert, Angwar, Hyon Chul, Tenzin, Kiel and Lalboi presented the cultural programme showcasing the tradition of South Korea.

Later, the Korean delegation was introduced to the Indian culture and tradition by the students of the college.

The delegation were treated to Bharatanatyam performance by Ashwini, III year B.Com student; folk dance by Roshni and team; contemporary Indian music performance by Udith, Sandesh and team. At the end, students performed patriotic song Vande Mataram.

United Praise and Worship- Music Department Coordinator Simeon, Youth with Mission, College Principal Prof. K.V. Prabhakara and Forum for Peace and Harmony Convenor Indrani were present on the occasion.
