The tableaux, the prime attraction of Mysore Dasara procession, will have six themes, one for every five districts this time. This decision was taken at the Dasara meeting chaired by District Minister V. Sreenivas Prasad.

Themes of tableaux

Tourism: Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Chikkamagalur, Chamarajanagar.

Royal dynasty: Bijapur, Bangalore, Mysore, Bellary.

Science and Technology: Hassan, Chitradurga, Bagalkot, Raichur.

History/folklore: Mandya, Gadag, Haveri, Koppala, Bidar, Tumkur.

Kannada literature: Shimoga, Belgaum, Udupi, Kolar, Dharwad.

Regional Special: Gulbarga, Ramnagar, Bangalore rural, Chikkaballapur, Yadgiri.

The other decisions taken at the meeting were said to be launch of Dasara website on Aug. 30, contemplate to hold flower show at Kuppanna Park, cultural programmes to be divided among local, national and international talents, release of a good commemorative brochure, stage Rural Dasara at villages before the main event in city and provide Dasara Thali at affordable price.
