Mysore, Mar. 3-The devout in the city will now have an opportunity to have the darshan of Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy, when the statue of the Lord of the Seven Hills will be consecrated at 4 pm on March 7 by Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji at the premises of Sri Vasavi Shanthidhama Public Charitable Trust located at Alanahalli extension on T.Narasipur road on the outskirts of the city.

Apart from this, the statues of Sri Jyothirlingeshwara Swamy and the 102 Gothra Rishis would also be consecrated on that day.

Two cottages constructed out of the munificence given by Madhuri Thathachari of Bhramara Trust and Sulochana Mohan would also be inaugurated.

G. Bhimeshwara Joshi, the Dharmakartharu of Annapurne-shwari Temple, Horanadu and M.S.Yoganarasimhan of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in J.L.Puram will be present.

K.B.Ganapathy, Editor-in-Chief, Star of Mysore and Vasu, ex-Mayor, will be the chief guests while R. Vasudeva Murthy, President of Mahajana Education Society will preside. M.V. Sathyanarayana Setty, President of Sri Vasavi Shanthidhama Public Charitable Trust, will be the guest of honour.

The programme will conclude with a veena recital by Vidwan R.K. Padmanabha and party.

Donation for cottages

The construction of a cottage would cost about Rs. 4 lakh. The donor's name would be engraved on a marble plaque. Similarly, the construction of a room will cost Rs. 1.5. lakh; a room for two persons will cost Rs. 2 lakh and a room for three persons Rs. 3 lakh, according to B.V. Srinivas Gupta, Hon.
