Mysore, May 15 (DV)- The silver jubilee celebrations of Veda Pathashala at Ganapati Sachchidananda Ashram, which has contributed talented national level veda scholars well versed in 14 vedas, will be held at the Ashram premises here from May 18 to 30.
Incidentally, the 68th birthday of Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji coincides with the celebrations.
The Pathashala has the credit of bringing out each year great veda scholars, achievers in music and literature, Aagama scholars, Vedanidhi, Shastranidhi and Asthan Vidwans.
The Ashram has also created a history by conducting national-level veda exams, All India Veda Sammelanas, Vedanidhi, seminars, Vedasadas, Shastrasadas, Vedokta, Mantrahuti, rare Yagnas like Shrouta Ishti.
The silver jubilee events include among others Sarvaveda parayana, Guruvandana, honours to senior students, special lecture series by scholars, 17th annual veda exams, presentation of vedanidhi award to Sri Somayaji, Shastranidhi award to Brahmashree Manishastri Dravida, Asthan Vidwan awards to Sri Narasimalu Vadavattige, B.L. Dixit and Rani Subbaiah Dixitulu, seminars, release of veda books and silver jubilee souvenir. The Silver Jubilee Committee has requested the Datta devotees, Sanskrit lovers and others to participate in large numbers.
