A seminar on ‘Mysore as the most preferred international tourist destination - Bottlenecks & solutions’ has been organised by Rotary Club of Mysore West on Aug. 6 at 4.30 pm at Windflower Resorts in city.

The seminar is an adjunct to the GoBeyond - Leisure & Lifestyle Expo-2013 to be held from Aug. 9 to 11 at Maharaja’s College Grounds by Rotary West in aid of its community service projects. The expo, being held in association with Mysore Travel Agents Association, is a booster to tourism in Mysore and surrounding tourist spots.

Aravind Jadhav, Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism Department, who will be the chief guest at the seminar, will deliver the keynote address. The seminar will be addressed by the following eminent persons:

Shikha, Deputy Commissioner, Mysore, on ‘Infrastructure Development’; Dr. M.A. Saleem, City Police Commissioner, on ‘Homeland Security’; Dr. Talavane Krishna, Founder, IVAC on ‘Integrated Medical Tourism’; P.V. Giri, MD, Windflower Resorts, on ‘Hospitality Industry’; Dr. Shalini Urs, Executive Director, ISiM, on ‘Education Tourism’; K.B. Ganapathy, Editor-in-Chief, Star of Mysore, on ‘Role of Media in Tourism’; Yogacharya Bharath Shetty, Founder, Ananda Yoga India, on ‘Yoga Tourism’; Vinay P. Kumar, Founder, Mysore Royal Walks, on ‘Mysore Heritage.’

The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Aravind Jadhav.
