Mysore, Oct. 6 (RK&KMC)- Sri Ravishankar Guruji of the Art of Living Foundation inaugurated the Gammon India hands-on training centre at Kuppedada village near Paper Mill Circle on KRS Road here this morning.
Gammon India is the largest civil engineering construction company in India where workers aged between 19 and 30 years will be selected for training from various Gram Panchayats from across the country, with a minimum qualification of up to 7th std.
Speaking on the occasion, the Guruji justified his presence at the construction industry-related function by pointing out that Udyoga (industry) and Yoga were related to each other. "To get a good job, one needs to be physically and mentally fit, for which yoga practice is required," he said and stressed on the need for additional training in skilled workmanship.
Abhijit Rajan, Chairman and MD, Gammon India, his wife Tharuna Rajan, K. Arulnathan, Chief of the Training Centre, DCP Basavaraj Malagatti and Premnath of AoL Mysore Centre were present.
Sri Ravishankar arrived from Bangalore in a helicopter, landing at the KRS helipad at 10.30 am. He reached the venue by car and after the function, left for Bangalore by noon.
