Bangalore, Sept. 25 (KCU)- The State Government has issued an order indicating the appointment of Medical Education Minister S.A. Ramdas as the Chairman of Dasara Executive Committee.

Hitherto, District In-Charge Minister S. Suresh Kumar was occupying that position. The responsibility has now been shifted to Ramdas, it is learnt.

After Ramdas and C.H. Vijayashankar, both hailing from Mysore District, got inducted to the State Cabinet recently, Suresh Kumar reportedly met the Chief Minister and is believed to have appealed to the CM to relieve him of the responsibility of Dasara festival. His contention was proba-bly that there were two Ministers from the district who have the enthusiasm and ability to organise the festival.

Agreeing to the suggestion of Suresh Kumar, the CM is learnt to have transferred the responsibility to Ramdas.

This possibly strengthens the rumour that Ramdas may take over as the District In-Charge Minister of Mysore.
