The city unit of Narayana Hrudayalaya, located next to Sathagalli Bus Depot on Ring Road, has commenced Out Patient Department (OPD) services from Jan. 1.

Disclosing this to SOM, Hospital Cardiologist Dr. Keshava Murthy said: "The full-fledged cardiac-care hospital is awaiting a formal inauguration by the Union Health Minister after which in-patients will be admitted. However, we have opened the OPD services from Jan. 1 and about 70 patients are being screened every day."

The consultation is free of cost while the mandatory tests will attract nominal charges. The most sophisticated hospital has 300 beds. The formal inauguration is expected to take place during the first week of next month, he said.

City bus to Hospital

Meanwhile, KSRTC Mysore City Division has started bus services to Narayana Hruda-yalaya Hospital from today. City buses plying on route number 80C and 80D from City Bus Stand through Siddarthanagar and Kalyanagiri, will stop at the hospital, according to KSRTC Divisional Controller.
