A two-day National seminar on Tele-assessment and intervention for persons with communication disorders, organised by All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) was held at its premises here this morning.
About 200 delegates including researchers and students attended the meet featuring lectures and panel discussions.
Inaugurating the programme, Space/ Atomic Energy Commission Member V.V. Bhat opined that telecommunication had not developed fully to reach the masses to treat communication disorders. A broader vision has been created to view and treat disabled persons.
Bhat advised parents not to view their disabled children as a curse but find ways to tap their hidden talents.
AIISH former Director Dr. N. Rathna was the guest of honour. HoD of CREDM R. Manjula welcomed. Director S.R. Savithri presided.
