Mysore, June 21 (KCU&KK)- A National Integration camp for NCC Cadets belonging to 17 NCC Directorates in the country is being held at Dasara Expo Grounds here from June 14. It will conclude on June 25.

The camp, organised by Karnataka NCC Girls Wing, is being attended by about 640 cadets including 280 girls studying in PUC and Degree courses. Col. S.K. Pant, Group Commandant, Bangalore and Col. Sanjay Sharma, Assistant Group Commandant, are incharge of the camp assisted by about 20 NCC officers.

Explaining the features of the camp to Star of Mysore, Col. Sharma pointed out that the cadets hailing from different places in the country would be made to know better about their respective States and motivate to unify to evolve a formidable team. "The camp also features various sports and cultural competitions along with quiz, essay writing. Flying in micro-light aircraft was arranged yesterday," he said.

The cadets are being provided with food and accommodation at the grounds with multi-cuisine delicacies of all regions to tickle the palate of the participating cadets. Another interesting feature is cadets from other States are being accommodated for a day in the houses of city cadets to get a feel of the local language and culture, said Col. Sharma.

Dy. Director General of Karnataka-Goa Directorate Com. Ravidhar will address the cadets this evening followed by a cultural extravaganza by NCC teams.
