Here's good news for young wildlife enthusiasts in Mysore city. Mysore zoo will organize a summer camp at its premises for students starting April 2. The camp will be conducted in three batches, each of one-week duration.

While the first batch of middle school students (class VI and class VII) will commence on April 2, the second batch of high school students (class VIII to class X) will start on April 20, and the third batch for college students from May 2. About 30 students will be admitted into each batch and the camp will be held between 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.

At the camp, the students will be exposed to various facts about the zoo and will be introduced to activities such as bathing and feeding elephants, studying animals and animal behavior, gardening, visit to Karanji Lake Nature Park, the regional museum of natural history, bird watching, identifying trees and plants, animal observation and interaction with keepers.
