The BJP is reported to have yesterday removed MLC G. Madhusudan as its spokesperson. But speaking to SOM this morning, Madhusudan said that following a call from the Party President K.S. Eshwarappa, he had voluntarily submitted his resignation.
“This is a repercussion of my exposé on the Chamundi Hill land row,” he said and suspected that District In-Charge Minister S.A. Ramdas was behind it as he (Madhusudan) had accused Ramdas of protecting some land-grabbers.
Madhusudan had made allegations of irregularities in which the Revenue Department officials, with the help of influential politicians, had delisted thousands of acres of government land in various survey numbers at Allanahalli, Kurubarahalli and Chowdahalli villages in Kasaba hobli of Mysore taluk and had also tried to place before the House an inquiry report by the Regional Commissioner into the alleged land scam in the recent legislature session.
Madhusudan had also urged Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar to order a Lokayukta or CBI probe into the alleged scam to expose the hidden hands behind the case.
He had also alleged that the minimum cost of the involved land was about Rs. 10,000 crore and the market value ranging between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 crore.
When asked whether there was any misunderstanding between him and Ramdas, surprisingly MLC Madhusudan, who earlier blamed Ramdas, now said that he had nothing personal against Ramdas and added that it was he who had brought Ramdas to BJP and had worked for his victory in the Assembly elections in the past.
