Mysore Institute’s academic and cultural fest 'MICanvas-2013' was inaugurated by Prof. K.S. Rangappa, Vice Chancellor, University of Mysore on Oct. 29 at 9.30 am at the institute's campus here.
There were more than 400 participants from various schools and colleges across the city. The valedictory for the school events was attended by DDPI H.R. Basappa who lauded the college for its age-specific activities. The winners were from Excel Public School, Pushkarani, St. Philomena’s, St. Joseph’s Central School, NPS International, Ideal Jawa Rotary School and Lions West Sevanikethan.
The college students participated in events such as Mistocrat, Train Breezers, Visual Issues and were sent on internship experience during the latter part of the day.
Mysore Institute’s academic and cultural Fest MICanvas concluded with a valedictory ceremony on Oct. 30 in the presence of City Police Commissioner Dr. M.A. Saleem and Dr. Aisha Sheriff, Chairperson and Professor, BIMS, University of Mysore.
The event Mistocrat saw M.S. Sharad from Mahajanas College as the winner. SBBR Mahajana College bagged the overall championship in the various management/ finance/ HR competitions.
The cultural evening which followed presented Ramp-walk, Beat Boxing and various performances from local talents around city namely Alok, Beyond Talas, Srinivas and Prashanth. The event concluded with a fabulous laser show.
