Mysore, Apr. 28 (DV)- A total of eight talented students of India including Koushik Srivatsav of Mandya have been selected for the Intel International Science and Engineering Festival (ISEF) being held under the auspices of Intel organisation at California in USA from May 9 to May 14.
These students having won in India Initiative for Research and Innovation in Science (IRIS) competition organised in India by Intel in December last, have now to compete with more than 1500 talented students of 50 countries participating at the International level ISEF competition.
These students who have won at the national level competition are leaving for USA with their Science and Engineering projects. R. Lakshmi and Vibha Suresh of Bangalore and Koushik Srivatsav of Mandya are in the team representing India. At the festival being held for a week, the students have an opportunity to visit eminent scientists and share their views on aspects connected with Science, Research and Technology.
The success, scientific thinking and research attitude of these students are the symbol of progress of our country, said Rahul Bedi, Director of Intel South Asian Corporate Affairs.
