Mysore, June 17- The Indian Solidarity Council and the International Institute of Education and Management, New Delhi, awarded the Rashtriya Vidya Saraswati Puraskar and Jewel of India awards to Sara Noorana, Principal, Shalom Hills International School, NCR, New Delhi, for her outstanding achievements and remarkable role in the field of education. She was also presented the Certificate of Excellence on the occasion.
Sara Noorana, who hails from Mysore, was conferred the awards by the former Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr. Bhishma Narain Singh.
Ambassador of Arab League Mohammed Salem Al Wahishi and Minister Counsellor, Republic of Indonesia, Hendra Henny Andries, were also present at the glittering function organised at the Constitution Club in New Delhi recently.
Over 30 personalities representing various fields from all over the country such as academicians, industrialists, etc. were honoured.
A topper right through, Sara Noorana is a gold medalist in B.A. and in M.A with M.Ed and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from NIPM Kolkata.
She has to her credit nearly two decades of experience in teaching and administration from the premier academic institutions of the country.
She is also a recipient of the prestigious Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Fund Award and the National Merit Scholarship.
Sara Noorana has been bestowed with the Best Teacher Award by the leading NGO Bharat Vikas Parishad for her contribution to the field of education.
