Mysore, Feb. 25 (KK&SH)- Traffic around K.R. Circle in the city's Central District, which witnesses the highest flow of vehicular traffic from dawn to dusk, is soon to be affected as work on subways in the vicinity of the Circle is to begin shortly.

Traffic will be diverted from the night prior to the beginning of the work until it gets completed and the area thrown open to the public, Police Commissioner Sunil Agarwal said.

Change of routes

Vehicles moving on Sayyaji Rao Road either away from the KR Circle towards the south or vehicles moving towards the Circle will have to take alternative routes, he said.

Cross roads across Devaraja Urs Road may be used for vehicular traffic touching K.R. Circle and moving towards New Sayyaji Rao Road. Vehicles moving on Sayyaji Rao Road from Mysore City Corporation Office towards Devaraja Urs Road should take a left turn at the Brahmapuri Gate of Mysore Palace and after going on Jaganmohan Palace Road reach Santhepet and proceed on Devaraja Urs Road.

In order to reach K.R. Circle from Sayyaji Rao Road, vehicles should proceed from Sanskrit College Circle to JSS Circle and later via B.N. Road, Hardinge Circle and Albert Victor Road.

There will be no change in entering the City Bus Stand and moving out of the place. No changes are proposed for traf-fic between Sanskrit College and Brahmapuri Gate of Mysore Palace, disclosed Agarwal.
