Mysore, Sept. 23 (DV)- Kautilya Vidyalaya, which had participated in the Regional Level Science Exhibition organised at JSS Public School, Bangalore, by Delhi CBSE on Sept. 16 and 17, has been selected for the National-level contest next month.

At the regional level contest participated by schools from Karnataka, Maharashtra and Kerala, the judges, lauding the "Kautilya Green City" demonstration model prepared by Kautilya Vidyalaya students, declared it the winner and eligible to participate in the next round of National level Science exhibition.

A total of 60 CBSE schools from Karnataka had participated in the exhibition. Kauitlya Vidyalaya is one of the schools selected for the National level contest and has the credit of being the only school from the city to become eligible.

"Kauitlya Green City," a demonstration model made up of materials available in nature and which can be reutilised has been successful in providing an effective solution to the porblems of scarcity of electricity and drinking water prevailing at present. The model has been prepared by Ashika Appaiah and M. Chetan, students of 10th standard under the guidance of teachers Chethana and Imran Begum.
