Even as political parties continue to adopt wait and watch policy on announcing their list of candidates for the May 5 fearing exodus from their cadres, the JD(S) and BSR Congress yesterday hinted at entering into an alliance for the coming Assembly elections in the State.

Interestingly, the move comes in the wake of all parties claiming to go to the polls alone.

JD(S) State Unit President H.D. Kumaraswamy and BSR Congress founder Sriramulu are learnt to have held talks in this regard at Kumaraswamy’s residence yesterday.

During the recently held elections to Urban Local Bodies, though BSR’s performance was not all that impressive, the fact that it came close to BJP in the seats tally is said to have impressed JD(S) which is looking at all possibilities to provide an alternative to the Congress and the BJP.
