Hoteliers chant Athithi Devobhava

Mysore, Sept. 27 (RK,MRS& DM)- The city's hotel owners have come forward to offer Dasara meals (Thali) along with a piece of Mysorepak for only Rs. 20.

The hoteliers, by accepting the District Administration's appeal for providing Dasara meals at Rs. 20 inclusive of Mysorepak, consider it as a service by them.

City Hotel Owners Association President M. Rajendra, who spoke to SOM said the name and fame of Mysore City along with its traditional sweet Mysore Pak would further increase, if tourists visiting city are totally satisfied.

"Besides, trade in city will be boosted in the post Dasara days," said Rajendra.

Continuing, Rajendra said all the 54 hotels listed will put up display boards on the Dasara meals menu. The offer will be effective from Oct. 8 to 17.

"Dasara Thali is not full meals. But this does not mean lesser food; the menu on offer would be normally sufficient. North Indian and other me-als also would be served, for which different rates would apply," he said.

The Dasara Thali meal menu includes one Chapathi, palya, a bowl of rice, sambaar, vangibath or bisibele bath (small cup), pickle, butter-milk and a piece of Mysore pak sweet.

The list of all the 54 city hotels that offer Dasara Thali meals (afternoon and night) from Oct. 8 to 17 is as follows:
