The jam-packed audience at Kalamandira here were enthralled by Dr. M.S. Natashekar and troupe with the rendition of songs originally sung by late P.B. Srinivas (PBS). The programme was aptly titled 'Mareyalagada Manikya-PBS' to commemorate the 83rd birth anniversary of the legendary playback singer.

Child talent Bhoomika began the programme with the rendition of the devotional song 'Gajamukhane Ganapatiye...'

The rendition of 'Apara Keerthi Galisi mereda...' by Dr. Natashekar received a thunderous applause by the audience many of whom were seen standing near the doors as the auditorium was full.

Teaming with co-singers, songs from the movies Bangarada Hoovu, Paropakari, Bedi Bandavalu and many more numbering over 25 songs were rendered, each with a classic rhythm and total perfection.

Dr. Natashekar was accompanied by Hamsini, Aarathi Rao, R.V. Navya and Sridevi Kulenoor.

Video clippings of the meeting of Dr. Natashekar and PBS were projected during the programme which was well-compered by S. Umesh and Sahana Kiran.

The programme was inaugurated by the family members of Dr. Natashekar by lighting the traditional lamp.

Former Minister S.A. Ramdas and his mother were among those present at the event.
