Revenue and District In-Charge Minister V. Sreenivas Prasad inaugurated his office at CADA office in city this morning.
Speaking to media persons, Prasad said that this is a government office and not a party office and called upon the people irrespective of caste, creed and party to come to the office and submit their grievances.
Prasad said that the State Government has released Rs. 5 crore for relief operation of Karnataka people in Uttarakhand and added that Rs. 50 lakh has been released for medical aid and transportation of people. Karnataka Government has sent officials for rescue of about 2500 people from the State.
He said that the Karnataka Development Project meeting would be held once in three months and has requested the CM to pass an order in this regard.
He said that the Mysore-Bangalore track doubling works were almost complete and added that he would take necessary steps to clear the problems of lands.
Speaking about Mysore-Nanjangud road, he said that works pertaining to laying fourlane track is going on and said that he would talk with the concerned Minister in this regard.
Prasad said that a Special Pension Adalat will be held from tomorrow at Koodlapura in Nanjangud and added that Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner have been instructed to visit rural places for 15 days in a month to review and solve the problems there.
