The District Administration, which had made elaborate arrangements for the counting of votes at two centres in SJCE and JSS College on Ooty Road today, had allotted different colours for different constituencies to avoid confusion.

The counting agents were allowed entry to the counting centres as per the colours allotted to them. Also, the counting agents from one constituency were not allowed to enter the counting centres of another constituency and once the counting agent comes out of the centre he was not allowed to enter the centre again. H.D. Kote constituency was allotted Blue colour, Nanjangud (Grey), Chamundeshwari (Yellow), Varuna (Green), T. Narasipur (Pink). The counting of votes for above mentioned constituencies were held at JSS College, Ooty Road.

Meanwhile, NR constituency was allotted Pink, KR Nagar (Blue), Hunsur (Maroon), Krishnaraja constituency (Yellow) and Chamaraja constituency (Green) and the counting for these constituencies was held at SJCE in Manasagangothri.

The election officials were given white coloured identification card. The counting agents were let into the centres after being screened thrice. The movement of agents was also restricted as they were not allowed to move from one table to another. The usage of mobile phones and celebrations from the party workers were also restricted.
