Mysore, June 11 (MTY&DM)- The city-based Srujana Foundation will take up the cleaning of Chamundi Hill pathway tomorrow as part of World Environment Day celebration.

Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan this morning, Foundation Secretary Mahima Subbanna said the cleaning drive will be launched at 7.30 am tomorrow.

Posters will be displayed to enhance awareness on bio- diversity and plantation of medicinal plants alongside the pathway. About 200 Ayurveda students from the city will perform 'Shramadaana' on the occasion.

DCF Sashwati Mishra, Addl. Dy. Commissioner Dr. C.G. Betsurmath and KSPCB Regional Officer D.M. Prakash will be present on the occasion.

Mahima Subbanna said, the Foundation began the World Environment Day celebration by launching the planting of medicinal plants in the premises of Kukkarahalli lake on June 5.

Apart from this, various competitions for school and college students will be held at Manasagangotri's Open Air Theatre on June 19 at 10 am.

The valedictory celebrations will be held at Rani Bahadur Auditorium in Manasagangotri on June 26.
