R. Aparna Kodankiri, a student of Vidu. Mithra Naveen, of Nadavidyalaya Academy of Music and Dance, will perform a Bharatnatyam recital tomorrow at Ganabharati on Adichunchanagiri Road at 6.30 pm.

Artiste's profile: Aparna's keen interest in dance was recognised by her parents S. Radhkrishna and C.G. Asha Radhakrishna at the age of three. Aparna started training under her mother, who herself is a classical dancer. Aparna further developed her talent in dance from Vidu. Nagashri Panindra Kumar. Her true skills and passion for dance bloomed admirably when she was seven and pursued her formal classes in Pandallur style of dance under Guru Vidu. Mithra Naveen of Nadavidyalaya Academy of Music and Dance, Hebbal. Apart from dance, Aparna is equally talented in music also. Her talent was identified by Vid. L. Ramashesha and she was trained by Vid. Andaguru Srinivas. She is presently being trained by Vid. M.S. Naveen and has secured distinction in Junior Grade Exam conducted by KSEEB. Aparna has won many prizes that include first prize in Balaprathibhe (2005), Pratibha Karanji Competitions (2003, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012).

She is presently pursuing her first year PU in Science stream at SVEI. Apart from the classical dance, She also has keen interest in Yakshagana, Kamsale, Dollu Kunita, Maari Kunita and Kolaata.
