City’s noted Bharatanatyam dancers Vid. Sridhar Jain of Aptamithra fame (Director of Nimishamba School of Dance) and Guru Radhika Nandakumar have been selected for Nritya Nipuna title instituted by the Karnataka Nrityakala Parishat, Bangalore. The title will be conferred on them at ‘Ankura-2013,’ a festival of young dancers, organised by the Parishat in city on Sept. 14 at 15.

As part of the festival, on Sept. 14, the following programmes have been organised at Veene Sheshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar from 6 pm onwards:

Bharatanatyam by M.S. Archana (Guru Nirupama Rajendra) at 6 pm; Mohiniattam by Dhanya Santosh (Guru Usha Datar) at 6.45 pm; Bharatanatyam by Matangi Kesavan (Guru Gayathri Kesavan) at 7.45 pm and by Maithri Rao (Guru Badri Bhushan) at 8.30 pm.

On the occasion, Nritya Nipuna title will be conferred on Guru Vid. Sridhar Jain.

On Sept. 15, the following programmes have been organised at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, JLB Road, from 6 pm onwards:

Bharatanatyam by Akshata (Guru Krupa Phadke) at 6 pm; by Ramya Raghavan (Guru Vidu. B. Bhanumathi) at 6.45 pm and Bharatanatyam duet by Sindhu and Bindu (Guru Chetana Radhakrishna) at 8.30 pm.

On the occasion, Nritya Nipuna title will be conferred on Guru Radhika Nandakumar in the presence of Bharatiya Nrutyakala Parishat Secretary Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao as the guest of honour.
