Chaayamilana-2013, a three-day national-level exhibition and workshop has been organised by the Mysore District Photographers and Videographers Association (MDPVA) at Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry from Sept. 20 to 23.

On Sept. 20: Prof. Bhashyam Swamiji of Yoganarasimhaswamy temple and Swami Veereshanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Ashram will inaugurate Chaayamilana tomorrow at 9.30 am. The photo and video expo will be inaugurated by District Minister V. Sreenivasa Prasad and Mayor N.M. Rajeshwari; Co-operation Minister H.S. Mahadev Prasad will inaugurate the workshop. MDPVA President G.T. Ramesh Kumar will preside over the function.

MLAs M.K. Somashekar, G.T. Devegowda, Tanveer Sait & Vasu, former Minister S.A. Ramdas, KPA Bangalore President B.S. Shashidar will be the chief guests.

Workshop on ‘Camera menu settings’ by G.S. Babu will be held between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm.

Kala Saurabha, cultural programmes by Association members, will be inaugurated by Kannada and Culture Asst. Director Nirmala Matapathi at 6 pm.

On Sept. 21: Exhibition workshop will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddharamaiah at 11.30 am. MLA M.K. Somashekar and Congress senior leader C.Y. Shivegowda will be present.

K.A. Suryaprakash of Bangalore will conduct the workshop on ‘Studio lighting.’ He will also conduct a workshop on ‘Fashion photography’ between 2.30 pm and 5 pm.

Rasamanjari, a music programme by noted singers of the city, will be inaugurated by Mysore District Journalist Association President C.K. Mahendar at 6 pm.

Corporators D. Nagabhushan, M.J. Ravikumar and IEI Mysore Local Centre Chairman Dr. T. Anantapadmanabha will be the chief guests. MDPVA President G.T. Ramesh Kumar will preside.

On Sept. 22: A workshop on ‘HD video editing’ by Sudarshan of Bangalore will be held between 10.30 am and 1 pm

The valedictory will be held at 6 pm which will be presided over by MLA M.K. Somashekar.

Companies like Panasonic, Moser Baer, Fuji, Canon and others will take part in the expo.
