Mysore, Mar. 23- Taking note of the good public response received last time, the Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation, in association with the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi has organised a 10-day ‘Cauvery Craft Bazaar’ from Mar. 22 to Mar. 31 at JSS Mysore Urban Haat on KRS Ring Road, Hebbal Industrial Area from 10 am to 9 pm on all days.
More than 150 skilled artisans will exhibit and sell a variety of Handicraft and Handloom products at the Bazzar. Besides, the visiting public can watch demonstration on select artefacts of different States.
A variety of leather products of Madhya Pradesh, shawls and dress materials of Kashmir, Colourful sculptured articles of Orissa, paintings, traditional dresses and artificial jewellery of Gujarat, jute products, bantic sarees, sea shell articles of West Bengal, bamboo-made house hold articles of North Eastern States, colour paintings, designer bangles, chikani paintings, rainbow coloured embroidery of Rajasthan, Hyderabadi jewellery, printed dress materials, lace works of Andhra Pradesh, Handloom products, tribal jewellery of Tamil Nadu, red carpets, foot mats, chikon embroidery, handloom products of Uttar Pradesh, bronze idols, earthen pots, flower vases, wooden furnitures of Karnataka are among a huge range of products that are on display and sale at this exhibition.
Entertainment programmes will be held from 6.30 pm on all the days of the exhibition. Entry to the Bazar is free.
