The Canara Bank Circle office in Nazarbad, with a view to create awareness among general public, especially the street vendors, migrant labourers and other deprived classes about some of the important schemes, had organised a Road Show in city this morning.
The Road Show was flagged off by Canara Bank Deputy General Manager Dr. S.T. Ramachandra.
The Road Show also created awareness on linking of Aadhar numbers to their bank accounts, opening of Saving Bank (SB) accounts for successful implementation of projects and also ‘Swavalamban’, a pension scheme of Central Government besides home loan and education loans.
The Road Show, which began at Nazarbad, passed through Hardinge Circle, D.Devaraj Urs Road, JLB Road, RTO Circle, Ballal Circle and New Kantharaj Urs road in Kuvempunagar in which 200 employees of Canara Bank from various branches in the city participated.
Six groups have been formed to conduct day-long Road Shows in various parts of city.
Group 1 will cover Kuvempunagar, Vivekanandanagar, Saraswathipuram and Ramakrishnanagar, Group 2 will cover Chamaraja Mohalla, Nanjumalige, Industrial Suburb (South), Dattanagar and J.P.Nagar, Group 3 will cover Jayalakshmipuram, Vijayanagar and BEML Nagar, Group 4 will cover Brindavan extension and surrounding areas, Group 5 will cover Mysore city centre and Tilaknagar and Group 6 will cover Siddarthanagar, Nazarbad and Shakthinagar.
Canara Bank Assistant General Managers Nataraj, Ashok Kumar Sahu and Nagaraj too participated in the awareness programme.
