Mysore, Oct.11 (KCU&RK)- The Hasyothsava organised by Dasara Kavigoshti Sub-Committee at Senate Hall in Manasagangotri here yesterday sent the audience into raptures with humorists Prof. M. Krishnegowda, Richard Louis, M.S. Narasimhamurthy, Mysore Anand, Kudroli Kotresh and Kirloskar Satya creating waves of laughter with their witty anecdotes. Recalling an incident at a school in his home town, Krishnegowda said "A teacher asked four of his students in 1st standard, found dressed shabbily in chaddi, to go home, bathe and come back neatly."

"Within few minutes the mothers of the said kids came to school. One of them questioned the teacher — Sir, we are villagers. How can we afford to have a bath with soap? Your duty is to teach kids, looking at their faces and not below them," recalled Krishnegowda throwing the gathering into laughter.

Referring to a Mega Dasara reduction sale of undergarments, Narasimhamurthy quipped "The advertisement read: Bhaari Kaditha on undergarments and the buyers did get a lot of Kaditha (itching) after wearing them!"

Richard Louis quipped "If flowers are put on a sitting person, it is his/her first night. It is last night if put on in a lying position."

The programme was inaugurated by Litterateur C.P. Krishnakumar. District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal, Kavigoshti Sub-Committee Chairman Dr. B.V. Vasanthkumar, Working President Dr. Ganga Nayak and others were present.
