Mysore, Oct. 6 (KK&KMC)- The District Administration will be providing special buses to ferry people from City to Lalitha Mahal Helipad to view the Dasara Air Show on Oct. 13 at 11 am. The rehearsal of the show will be held on Oct 12 at 11 am.
Deputy Commissioner Harsha Gupta, Police Commissioner Sunil Agarwal and other officials, who inspected the venue of the Air Show, said that the buses displaying 'Special Bus' board will be plying from the City Bus Stand to the venue two hours ahead of the show’s commencement and after the end of the show, the same buses will take the passengers back to the City Bus Stand.
"This time, unlike the Torchlight Parade Ground in Bannimantap, people will be treated to a visual delight of the air show with a panoramic backdrop of the Chamundi Hill," the DC said.
"Barricades will be provided around the helipad by which more than one lakh persons can view the show standing around in the vast space," he said and added that people can view the show from atop Chamundi Hill and residents of K.C. Layout can enjoy it from their houses and terraces.
"No dais or structures will be erected at the venue. Only a pandal with basic facilities will be erected for the organisers of the show which will have about 25 to 30 items," said Sunil Agarwal.
"The main road leading to the helipad will be reserved only for vehicles of VIPs. Media and others will be allowed from Lalitha Mahal Palace side," he said.
