AIISH Aawaaz, the three-day inter-college cultural festival organised by All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) commenced at its Panchavati Complex on Bogadi Road here last evening.

Launching the event, TV actor Rajesh sarcastically said that an institute had to be established to treat people who turn a blind eye and ear to burning issues and also stay mute with sheer nonchalance. He was indirectly referring to the dirty political system which had worsened beyond repair.

Speaking as the chief guest, Vidushi Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar opined that talent was existing in every person which should be tapped.

AIISH Director Dr. S.R. Savithri and others were present.

Students of various colleges presented a colourful dance programme in Indian and Western style. The fest will conclude on Mar. 3.
