Cine actor Sudeep will flag off the Mysore Dasara marathon at the Northern gate of the Palace at 8 am tomorrow.

The 21-km marathon, which commences from the Northern gate of the Palace, will pass through K.R. Circle, Devaraj Urs Road, Metropole Circle, Kalamandira, Eastern gate of Kukkarahalli lake, Bogadi Road, Andolana Circle through Ring Road, Shanthi Sagar Hotel, in front of NIE college, Yele Thota , JSS college, Race Course, Sangolli Rayana Circle, Mysore Diary and Gopalagowda Hospital before concluding at Chamundi Vihar stadium.

Marathon winners (both men and women) will be given 6 prizes. First prize includes a cash reward of ` 10,000, second ` 8000, third ` 5000, fourth '3000, fifth ` 2000 and sixth ` 1000.

Marathon for college students: 12 km for boys and 6 km for girls; High School students: 6 km for boys and 3 km for girls.

The winners in each of these sections will be awarded 3 prizes – first prize will carry a cash reward of ` 1500, second ` 1000 and third ` 500.

Mysore University's Physical Education and Sports Studies Section, Department of Youth Services and Sports and Department of Public Instruction Officials and Personnel and B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed students have extended their co-operation for the success of the marathon.
