The three-day solo painting exhibition at Suchitra Art Gallery in Kalamandira premises has been attracting many art lovers. The paintings of artist Jalajakshi are being exhibited at the gallery.
One would feel that these are photographs, but as they come closer they would find that these are oil paintings which come alive on canvas.
These art works are the creations of Mangalore-based artist Jalajakshi who has created these paintings with a combination of imagination and reality. The exhibition was inaugurated by former CAVA Dean Prof. Ramdas Adyanthaya.
People who visited the gallery appreciated Jalajakshi’s work. Some of the paintings which were attractive include various oil paintings of Lord Ganesha, Sunrise and Sunset, Flower Garden, Woodpecker etc.
Around 28 paintings are being exhibited at Suchitra Art Gallery. The expo will be open for the public upto May 17 from 11 am to 7 pm.
