200 special buses to ply to city
Mysore, Oct. 4 (JP)- KSRTC, in a bid to offer better facilities for tourists to Mysore, will be setting up 15 special Visitors' Kiosks at city's KSRTC bus stands where tourists on payment of Rs.70 can get a daily pass to visit KRS, Nanjangud, Srirangapatna, Sangama and Chamundi Hill. The kiosks will be operating from Oct. 15 to 18.
Sources in KSRTC also said that 200 special buses in various categories will be plying from Bangalore to Mysore during Dasara — Rajhamsa, Meghdhoot, Sheetal (air-conditioned), Ambari and Volvo. Tickets for these buses can be booked at any of the 162 counters in Kem-pegowda bus stand, Majestic, Bangalore.
Similarly, tourists coming from Mangalore can book tickets for Mysore in any of the 42 KSRTC counters in Mangalore. In all, 119 Dasara special ticket counters are to be set up in many other major cities across the State and 113 Dasara kiosks have been set up in places like Hyderabad, Goa etc.
According to the KSRTC officials, tickets can also be reserved online at www.ksrtc.in or by sending SMS to 56767.
