Artists’s profile: Radhe Jaggi was intoduced to Bharatanatya at an early age through her mother’s interest and flowered during her rigorous training at the Kalakshetra Foundation. Having trained under some of the finest Bharatanatya teachers like Shreejith Krishna, Pushpa Shankar, Shijith Nambiar, Arun Shankar and Braga Bessel, now she is trained under Nirmala Nagaraj. Guided all along by noted dance scholar and exponent Leela Samson, Radhe brings to her practice and performance an aesthetic and quiet that is subtle yet exuberant.
Her style is a bubbling blend of rch abhinaya and crisp, steamlined adavus in the tradition of the great Rukmini Devi Arundale. Her style rests on her understanding of movement and expression obtained through years of study and practice of yoga.
