The route uses Mysore as a practical stop before and after Ooty. This reduces the final-day driving load while keeping two full hotel nights in Ooty for local and Coonoor sightseeing.

5-Day Mysore Ooty Mysore Tour Itinerary
This suggested itinerary includes one Mysore night before Ooty, two nights in Ooty and another Mysore night after the Pykara-side drive. The order can be adjusted where required, but the split-stay route should be retained to preserve the easier return journey.
Pick up from Bangalore Airport, railway station, bus stand, hotel or residence and proceed towards Mysore. An early start is useful for covering the main Mysore attractions comfortably.
Visit Chamundi Hills and seek blessings at Sri Chamundeshwari Temple, located atop the hill. Continue to Mysore Zoo, Mysore Palace, Jaganmohan Palace and St. Philomena’s Church.
Visit the Mysore Railway Museum if time permits. Later, transfer to the hotel for the first overnight stay in Mysore.
After breakfast, proceed from Mysore to Ooty. The drive usually passes through Bandipur National Park and the Mudumalai forest route. This is a scenic road journey and should not be treated as a promised wildlife safari.
After reaching Ooty, visit Ooty Lake, Rose Garden, Thread Garden / Thread Museum and Botanical Garden, depending on arrival time and operating hours. Keep some time for local shopping or leisure before the overnight stay in Ooty.

After sightseeing, continue to Bangalore and get dropped at the Airport, railway station, bus stand, hotel or residence according to the confirmed plan.
