Mysore, Mar. 15 (RK&KMC) -A public seminar on 'Destination Mysore - branding Mysore as an Investment Destination,' organised by the confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Mysore Zone, as part of their annual Members' Day celebration was held at Hotel Sandesh the Prince in city today.
T. Parabrahman, Chairman of CII Karnataka and Managing Director of Kirloskar Toyoda Textile Machinery Private Limited, speaking on the occasion, said that Mysore was an important lace to be branded as an industrial destination.
"In order to attract the investors here the CII is in constant touch with the State Government seeing amenities for setting up industrial units on the city's outskirts," he said and emphasised on the need for air connectivity — a vital mode of transport for the city's industrial and commercial growth.
Aroon Raman, Vice-Chairman of CII Karnataka and Managing Director of Raman Fibre Science Pvt. Ltd., addressing the gathering, said that land acquisition and power supply were the two major hurdles in the way of attaining industrial growth in Mysore.
"A permanent solution must be found for the two problems for the industrial sector to flourish," he said.
