Mysore, Feb. 28 (RK&KMC)- The one-day free health camp organised by Kaveri Kodagu Mahila Sangha saw hundreds of city residents signing up for tests that ranged from bone marrow density, blood sugar and blood pressure apart from skin aliments.

The free health camp which was inaugurated by Mahila Sangha President Parvathy Cariappa, is being held at Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa Memorial Hall in Vijayanagar 1st Stage. The camp which began at 10 am will conclude at 4 pm.

After a preliminary check-up, patients were examined by Dr. Latha Muthanna (Physician), Dr. K.M. Madappa (Urologist), Dr. Kushalappa (Dermatologist), Dr. Rajeshwari Madappa (Pediatrician), Dr. Sonia Mandappa (Gy-naecologist), Dr. Revaiah and Dr. Prashanth (Orthopedists).

One of the highlights of the day was the exhibition and sale of ergonomically designed footwear that is meant to provide relief for a variety of ailments. A few private pharmaceutical companies are also participating in the camp, one of which provided free blood sugar testing facility along with free medication for 15 days.

Sangha Secretary Lovely Appaiah, Treasurer Jyothi Kashi, Joint Secretary Ansu Ganapathy and Bhavani Beliappa, Organising Secretary Bollu Kuttappa and other members made sure of the camp's smooth operation.
