Vehicular traffic on the busy stretch of Hunsur road between Kalamandira and Hotel Metropole Circle in city this morning came to a grinding halt as hundreds of passersby assembled on the road when they learnt that the bodies of a 35-year-old unidentified woman along with two kids (a boy and a girl) were found on the Railway track under the Railway overbridge near Kalamandira.
It is reported that a passerby, who saw the three mutilated bodies lying on the track and completely beyond recognition, informed the Railway Police who rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to MMC&RI mortuary.
It is suspected that the woman and children may have come under the moving train proceeding towards Nanjangud early this morning for unknown reasons.
It is a matter of great concern that the tendency to commit suicide among men and women is on the rise of late and in most cases, poverty or dejection in life are being attributed as the major causes for such incidents.
