Wilson Richard Casey (39), the US Mariner who was allegedly drugged by some miscreants near St. Philomena’s Church, has left for Chennai after he was declared fit by the Wee Care Hospital where he was treated.
Speaking to Star of Mysore, Wee Care Director Manu said that Richard was sent to Bangalore accompanied by Mohan Das, a volunteer from Wee Care, to collect his baggage from the Majestic Bus Stand on February 5.
He added that the Wee Care had given Richard Rs. 3,000 for his travel expenses to Chennai where he will be meeting US Embassy officials to present his case.
Manu added that before leaving to Bangalore, Richard spoke to City Police Commissioner K.L. Sudheer and gave in writing to both Police Department and Wee Care organisation that he is leaving Mysore for Chennai via Bangalore on own wish as his health condition was normal. Richard will be leaving to his home California, US, on Feb. 14 from Chennai.
Meanwhile, Police sources said that the persons who had allegedly drugged Richard are absconding from the shop in which they were working. The sources also said the Police are yet to receive a formal complaint from Richard on the issue.
