Mysore, Feb. 28- Ration items will be sold at discount rates from March 1 to 5 at the Janatha Bazar outlets at Kuvempunagar and Brindavan extensions and also the main Janatha Bazar on Ashoka road in city in view of the Ugadi festival.

There is no limit on the quantity that can be purchased, as announced by S. Chandrashekar, President of Mysore District Co-operative Wholesalers' Association, here at a press conference at Pathrakarathara Bhavan this morning.

He said that MP H. Viswanath will inaugurate the fair tomorrow at 10 am at Sahakara Bhavan on Chamaraja Double road.

Chandrashekar said the following items would be sold at the prices( per kg) mentioned below:

Rice: Rs.16; Tur Dal: Rs.57; Wheat: Rs.20; Channa Dal: Rs.32; Channa Whole: Rs.28; Peas: Rs 26; Horsegram : Rs.26; Urad Dal: Rs.57; Coriander seed: Rs.43; Red Chillies: Rs. 43, Green Gram : Rs 83 and Fried Channa ;Rs .37.

Saying that all the items that will be sale are cleaned. Chan-drashekar added that B.T. Rice one year old would be sold at Rs.30 while the two year old rice would be sold at Rs. 33 a kg. New BT Rice would be sold at Rs. 25 a kg.

Janata Bazar directors Gulham Rabbani, Abdul Majeed, Srinivas and deputy registrar of co-operative societies, T.C. Jyothiandra were also present at the press conference.
