Mysore, May 9 (KVV&RK)- Tourists thronged the city during the weekend in unsually large numbers. Public had to experience inconvenience due to traffic jams as more number of vehicles were plying on the roads leading to tourist spots.

Yesterday was a holiday on account of Second Saturday and today being Sunday, tourists from the neighbouring States are making a beeline to the city. As a result, the Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hill, Jaganmohan Palace, K.R.S and Srirangapatna were overcrowded. Lalitha Mahal Road, Chamundi Hill Road, Hunsur Road and Mysore-Bangalore road witnessed traffic jams. Due to paucity of space at the Mysore Zoo and Mysore Palace, vehicles were parked at the Football grounds near the Dasara Exhibition. Most of the hotels and lodges were full. Pedestrians too faced hardships.
