Neladani Cultural Organisation had organised a programme P. Lankesh-Ondu Nenapu, in memory of the renowned late writer and journalist at Maneyangala auditorium in Rangayana premises here today.
Thinker H.L. Keshavamurthy from Mandya inaugurated the programme by watering a plant.
Speaking on the occasion, Keshamurthy lauded the service of Lankesh to literary sector for over 20 years.
He recalled that Lankesh always fought against casteism and fundamentalism. He added that caste was not the only deciding factor in politics and a good person will always be elected by all communities.
Samata Vedike President Meera Nayak presided. Writer Dr. Halathi Somashekar and Journalist Manjunath Latha were the chief guests. Neladani President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna delivered the keynote address. Working President T. Satish Javaregowda was present.
