Mysore, Feb. 22 (SH)- Textbooks of classes 1 to 10 will be sold to students in the respective unaided schools in the State from next academic year, disclosed B.N. Shivaramegowda, Block Education Officer (BEO) of the North Zone.
The prescribed textbooks will not be sold in any stores. Amounts for the required number of books classwise and medium-wise should be addressed to the Managing Director, Karnataka Textbook Society (R), Bangalore, by taking a bank hundi and sent to the Block Education Officer before Feb. 26 and obtain confirmation, he explained.
The school managements should take the blame for delay in obtaining the books due by not submitting the request for books, he said. More information in this regard may be had from website www.schooleducation. kar.nic.in, he said.
Book for students of classes 1 to 8 studying in aided schools and for students of classes 1 to 10 in all government schools will be distributed free of cost from the Department itself, Shivaramegowda disclosed.
