Monks of Ramakrishna Ashram and other dignitaries who expressed their opinions at the meeting.

A meeting of litterateurs, elder citizens and devotees of Rama-krishna Ashram was held at the Ashram auditorium in Yadavagiri here on Friday.

The meeting was arranged to elicit opinion of all with regard to establishing Swami Vivekananda Yuva Kendra at Old NTMS School premises by the side of Niranjana Mutt where Swami Vivekananda had stayed during his visit to Mysore.

It was decided at the meeting to establish the Yuva Kendra at the site freely given by the government with the consent of all and to develop it as a tourist centre barring Mysore Palace.

Different opinions were expressed at the meeting and a majority of them were in favour of establishing the proposed Kendra.

Former MLC D. Madegowda, senior advocate Sampath Iyengar, V-LEAD Founder Dr. R. Balasbramaniyam, Ashram President Swami Mukthidanandaji, litterateur Dr. Prabhushankar, Senior Monk Swami Sureshanandaji, retired Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chidanandagowda, litterateur Dejagow, Dr. C.P.Krishnakumar others were present at the meeting.
