Results of the SSLC exams held during April last, were declared this afternoon by Karnataka Secondary Education Board (KSEEB), ending the anxious wait by students and their parents.

The total pass percentage in the State is 77.49%, with girls faring better than their male counterparts as usual, said G. Kumar Naik, Principal Secretary of the SSLC Board, during a press conference here.

Chikkodi educational district tops the chart, followed by Mandya and Udupi districts while Bidar district has the lowest percentage this year.

Mysore, with 81.05%, is in 20th place. Last year it was in 12th place.

Kodagu district, with 79.49%, has dropped from 13th place to 25th place in SSLC.

Pass percentage of unaided schools is 86.23%, higher than that of aided schools, which is 80.21% while it is 77.71% of the government schools. As many as 35 high schools across the State have got zero pass percentage.

State topper is M. Sudhindra, scoring 622 out of 625 marks, followed by Nagarjuna, scoring 621.

Out of the 8,36,342 students who appeared for the SSLC exams in State, 6,47,951 have passed, including 3,26,449 boys (73.25%) and 3,21,502 girls (82.29%).

Mark-sheets would be available in schools from tomorrow, reports said.

Mysore: Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan has secured 100% result with 110 students who had appeared have come out with flying colours. 31 students have secured distinction, 69 first class, and 10 second class. Akhilesh S. Narayan has secured 599 marks, Priyanka and Naushika 592 marks out of total 625.

Sadvidya High School: T.C. Sahana has secured 617 marks, Darshan 616marks, S. Hitesh has secured 613 marks and B.S.Mythri has secured 612 marks out of total 625 marks.

Marimallapa's High School: Nischay Prasad has secured 616 marks, R.T.Jayanth 615 and Niharika has secured 613 marks.

Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala: Swaroop G. Hergde has secured 614 marks of the total 625 marks.

Rotary Midtown Academy has secured 100% result with two distinction, 11 first class and 10 second class.
