Mysore, May 25-Spot The Talent is a new initiative launched by Software Paradigms Infotech (SPI) Pvt. Ltd to expose the high school students to the world of Information Technology. This fun and educative programme allows the students to get an overview of the lifecycle of software development and provides them an opportunity to experience IT from close quarters.
Seven schools, both State board and CBSC schools, have been invited to be a part of this programme. An aptitude test was given to all ninth grade children of the short listed schools to select fifteen students for the programme. The training is being conducted at SPICity Mysore by the in-house faculty. The children of Ideal Jawa Rotary High School, Mahabodhi School, Mysore West Lions Sevaniketan, V.V.S. Pandit Nehru High School, Gnanaganga Vidya Peetha, Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala and Mahajana High School participated in the programme.
During the two week training programme, the students got an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and work on challenging assignments. Besides learning the Basics of Programming, the students participated in soft-skills workshops, team-building sessions and debates.
Describing the enthusiasm among students Anitha Aiyappa, Principal Manager, Human Resources said "This is the first such project by SPI. The students have surprised us by their keen interest to participate and learn new concepts."
