The Annual Air Force Golf Cup hosted by No. 2 Air Force Selection Board, Mysore, on behalf of the Indian Air Force has gone a long way in cementing the ties between Defence Forces and the JWGC members who come from various walks of life. It has furthered the cause of integration of the Armed Forces into the rich culture and heritage of Mysore.

Air Marshal R.K. Jolly VM, VSM Air Officer Commanding- in-Chief, Southern Air Command IAF, arrived in city yesterday to inaugurate and host the 12th edition of the Air Force Golf Cup at JWGC today.

He was commissioned in the fighter stream on July 11, 1975. He has flown various aircraft like Hunter, Marut, all variants of MIG-21 and has over 3800 hrs of flying experience. He is a Qualified Flying Instructor, an alumnus of National Defence Academy and Defence Services Staff College and is also a Gold Medalist (BA) from Delhi Varsity.
