“During an acute heart attack, by admitting the patient to a hospital and performing angioplasty, the patient can be saved from the jaws of death,” opined Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa, Principal, JSS Medical College.

He was speaking at a programme organised by S3V Vascular Technologies to launch its social initiative ‘Project Amruth’ and also the release of angioplasty stent manufactured by the company at Rotary school on KRS Road yesterday.

“In today’s modern world with sedentary life style, the youth too are facing heart ailments. It is heartening that S3V Vascular Technologies has come out with the ‘Project Amruth’ to provide free stents to the needy patients under a heart attack,” lauded Dr. Basavanagowdappa.

He later gave a power point presentation of steps to be taken when a person has a heart attack and a statistical data on heart-related ailments.

Speaking as the chief guest Star of Mysore Editor-in-Chief K.B. Ganapathy said that the stents being manufactured in city would be of great help to patients.

N.R. Group Chairman R. Guru and Chartered Accountant B.S. Ravikumar, who were the chief guests at the function, formally received the stents manufactured by the company.

JSS University Vice-Chancellor Dr. B. Suresh inaugurated the launching programme. S3V Technologies MD N.G. Badari Narayan, Director Kalindhi Narayan, Dr. Sharathchandra and others were present.
