Mysore, July 14 (KCU)- The Deputy Director of the Department for Women and Child Welfare and Secretary, District Jawahar Bal Bhavan, has issued a clarification regarding the reported cancellation of the re-launch of Mini Train at Bal Bhavan here on July 10.

The re-launching of the Mini Train was actually done on an informal note and not actually cancelled. With a consensus opinion emerging to observe the re-launching on a grand scale, the scheduled programme was postponed. The message was passed on telephonically to the Ministers concerned and other invited guests, they clarified.

However, not to disappoint children, they were given a joy ride in the Mini Train and sweets were distributed. The train has resumed its operation and has been running everyday during scheduled time. The programme was not actually cancelled due to the non-arrival of the Minister, the press release has clarified.

MLA alleges breach of protocol

Mysore, July 14 (KCU)- MLA and former Minister Tanveer Sait has alleged that the agreed protocol has been breached during the re-launch of Mini Train at Bal Bhavan here recently.

Having written a letter in that context to the Zilla Panchayat CEO, Tanveer Sait said that it was customary to invite the Legislator of the particular constituency for any inaugural function.

"No information was given to me regarding the re-launching programme of the Mini Train on July 10. A letter was sent to my office in that context only the previous day. Nothing was discussed with me regarding the programme in advance," Sait was learnt to have stated in his letter.
